Piloting Audio Exhibit Spaces in Ho Chi Minh City Museums

The concept of audio exhibit spaces, also known as “story cabins,” was first introduced by the Confluences Museum in Lyon, France. Vietnam is the pioneer country where France has implemented this innovative model. Story cabins are sound devices that are accessible to all visitors. Each cabin is equipped with a control screen, allowing users to choose presentations for four remarkable artifacts displayed at the Museum of Ho Chi Minh City, the Southern Women’s Museum, the History Museum of HCM City, and the HCM City Museum of Fine Arts. According to Doan Thi Trang, Deputy Director of the Museum of HCM City, they have plans to add more artifact presentations to these cabins in the near future in order to attract a wider range of visitors. Film screenings to be held to celebrate major holidays

Films which will be shown include “Maika – Cô bé đến từ hành tinh khác” (Maika-The girl from another galaxy), documentaries “Trở về miền ký ức” (Return to the memory) and “Lửa từ thành cổ” (Fire from the citadel), as well as cartoons “Bạch Đằng nổi sóng” (Bach Dang Wharf) and “Giải cứu bò con” (Rescuing calves). “Maika – Cô bé đến từ hành tinh khác” (Maika-The girl from another galaxy) tells the tale of Hung, a boy whose mother dies. He then withdraws into a life of solitude until he meets Maika, a girl from another world looking for friends on Earth.  Maika was inspired by a character of the same name from the Slovakian children’s TV series Spadla z oblakov, or “The Girl Who Fell From the Sky”, a programme which aired from 1978 to 1983 and played in Vietnam. Italian culture more than just food, fashion, football: consul general

“Italian culture is surely more than that,” the diplomat said during an interview with Tuoi Tre News on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Italy.  So what is ‘Italy’ in your mind? We are heading to a ‘mixed’ development. Culture, commerce, and sciences in Italy are indispensable. Because all are linked through time, that’s how our fashion segment has developed so successfully. And now, we have technology to join in the aggregate. For example, a car will have the mix of Italian technology and the Italian esthetics that we already have in our architecture and interior design.
