Taste of Hanoi: A Festival Celebrating the City’s Culinary Delights

The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival of 2024, themed “Hanoi Noshes,” kicked off on the evening of August 23 in the pedestrian zone along Tran Nhan Tong Street, Hai Ba Trung District. This festival commemorates the 70th anniversary of Hanoi Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 – 2024) and is part of the 2024 National Tourism Year – Dien Bien celebrations. At the opening ceremony, Tran Trung Hieu, Vice Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, delivered a speech emphasizing the festival’s role in promoting Hanoi as a ‘Safe – Friendly – High-Quality – Attractive’ tourist destination. He highlighted the unique gifts, delicious local specialties, and cultural heritage preservation efforts showcased by the event. Lai Chau to Host Inter-Ethnic Cultural Festival

According to Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, a special festival will be held in Lai Chau province from October 6 to 8. The festival aims to celebrate and promote the traditional identities and values of ethnic minorities, educate about patriotic traditions and national pride, and strengthen the unity of the nation. 13 localities, including Lai Chau and its neighboring provinces, will participate in the festival. Additionally, provinces across the country such as Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, and Kon Tum will be involved. The festival aims to introduce and promote the nation’s cultural, sports, and tourism potential and strengths, especially among less-populated ethnic groups with a population of less than 10,000.
