On April 18, the Hanoi Library  i n co-operation with COPION Organization (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea) inaugurated  the project to renovate the library to make it more modern.    With the funding of VND44 billion (US$1.9 million) from South Korea, the Hanoi Library has new reading rooms, more equipment, furniture, books, and newspapers. The screening of the film made by the Downtown Community Television Center (DCTV) in 1978 coincided with the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Peace Accords and aimed to honour Cora Weiss, former chairwoman of the Board of Directors of DCTV. She was a famous peace activist, a close and long-time friend of Vietnam who participated in the anti-Vietnam war movement in the 1960s.
