2023 Happy Vietnam Photo and Video Contest Launched

The contest, open to both Vietnamese citizens and foreigners, aims to spread noble human values and convey the community’s empathy for individuals’ lives. Hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communications, the event provides an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese and international friends to gain insights into Vietnamese culture, its land and people, and contribute to building a happy and prosperous nation. According to the organizers, there is no limit on the number of entries, and the submission deadline is from June 15 to September 15. The competition offers a total prize value of over VND400 million, with VND100 million each for two first prize winners, VND30 million each for two second prize winners, and VND20 million each for two third prize winners. Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2023 Launches

After a three-year hiatus, over 5,000 fireworks enthusiasts gathered along the Han River to witness magnificent displays of light and sound. This year’s festival featured teams from the UK, Poland, Canada, France, Finland, Australia, Italy, and Vietnam, all of which have a long-standing tradition in the art of firework displays. The host Vietnam presented a story of peace and friendship under the theme “Da Nang – The Sound of Peace” while the Finnish team expressed intense emotions and deep love for life in their performance centred around the theme “Igniting the Heart.” Themed “The World Without Distance”, the festival was scheduled to take place from June 2 to July 8. Nguyen Thanh Ha crowned Miss Eco International 2023

Elsewhere, Ha also picked up a win in the “Best in Eco Dress” sub-contest. The first runner-up of the competition ultimately went to Ifunanya Basilia Ikochukwu of Nigeria, while the second runner-up was named as Yashna Beeharry of Mauritius. The third and fourth-placed sports were given to Ratana Sokhavatey of Cambodia and Genesis Guerrero of Ecuador. Ha, born in 2004 in the southern province of Ben Tre, is a student at Vinschool High School in Ho Chi Minh City. She is most notable for possessing a strikingly-beautiful face with a height of 1.70 metres, measuring 85-56-90. She first rose to prominence after being crowned Miss Eco Vietnam 2022 last June. Vietnam’s Ca Mau organizes first crab racing competition

A total of 270 crabs from 30 entrants participated in the event. The competition’s rules stated that all crabs entered in the competition had to weigh over 300 grams and originated in Nam Can, Ngoc Hien, Dam Doi, or Cai Nuoc Districts. Each entrant could register up to five ‘racers’ in the event. The crabs were placed on separate race tracks, each measuring 25 centimeters wide and five meters long. Entrants were allowed to knock on their crabs’ back with a stick if they stopped moving in the middle of the race. The winners were awarded medals and cash prizes at the end of the competition.  All of the crabs, whether they won or lost, were cooked later that day.
