Moscow: Vietnam holds a significant position in the scientific realm, being one of the founding nations of the esteemed Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, commonly referred to as the Dubna Institute. This institute is a powerhouse of scientific research, not just in Russia but worldwide. During wartime, Vietnam dispatched eminent scientists to JINR, fostering a culture of learning and innovation. Their contributions laid the groundwork for technological advancements and played a pivotal role in the country’s progression. Since 1982, with the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) taking the helm as Vietnam’s official representative at JINR, the training of scientific talent has become more structured.
