An unexpected sight greeted drivers traveling along National Highway 91 in An Chau Town during the Lunar New Year holiday, or Tet. As they drove through the district, they were amazed to see countless white storks and herons soaring above and nesting in the trees of a roadside garden. “It’s quite remarkable that despite the busy road, so many wild birds have made this garden their home,” shared Kim Tu, a local resident of An Giang Province. “Some have even nested on the tall tree branches right by the roadside.” A guardian of the garden estimates that there are thousands of wild birds nesting here.
