Promoting Collaboration between Vietnamese and Egyptian Education Trade Unions

Vietnam’s Hoi An and Da Lat recognized by UNESCO as creative cities

The UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) welcomed two new members on World Cities Day (October 31). Da Lat has become a member of UCCN for music, according to an announcement from UNESCO. Hoi An, on the other hand, has been recognized as a global creative city for crafts and folk art. This designation acknowledges the strong commitment of Da Lat and Hoi An to utilizing culture and creativity as part of their development strategies, as well as their innovative practices in human-centered urban planning. These two cities were among the 55 new cities added to UNESCO’s network by director-general Audrey Azoulay. Hanoi became a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2019 as a creative city of design. The Hoi An People’s Committee is currently awaiting an official letter from UNESCO. Exhibit Showcasing Vietnamese Culture in Mexico through Photography

The event was organized as part of the activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two sides. Mariana Flores Mayen, representative of the Government of Mexico City, highlighted that the exhibition with 30 captivating and vibrant photos allows Mexican people and international friends to gain deeper insights into Vietnam, its land, people, and its various achievements in socio-economic development. She also mentioned that the event is expected to attract approximately 500,000 visitors from November 9 to December 5. Auction for Vietnamese king’s gold seal further postponed in France

This is the second postponement of the auction, which was previously set for October 31 and then November 10. They were made for the same reason. The imperial seal of King Minh Mang (1820-1841) was scheduled to be put up for auction along with more than 300 antiquities hailing from or related to Vietnam on October 31. The Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies are working hard to bring the item home. The ministry’s representatives also met the French auction house, seeking to purchase the seal without any auction. The above-said antiquities and artworks include a gold bowl dating back to the reign of King Khai Dinh (from 1917 to 1925) of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802 – 1945). Hanoi welcomes return of European Day of Languages

Run by the Council of Europe and organised annually by the European Union National Institutes of Culture, European Day of Languages offers people the chance to experience a multilingual environment whilst enjoying a day full of activities and prizes. Participating representatives will be given a platform to present their languages and countries. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn some words in Czech, Romanian, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, and Spanish, as well as getting an insight into the linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe. Short classes lasting for 30 minutes will be offered in these languages, and participants will learn some basic vocabulary and communication strategies in all of these languages. Photographer captures beauty of Vietnamese women through his lens

Dao Tien Dat, hailing from south-central Binh Dinh Province, became a photographer in the late 1990s, and people have always been the muse and inspiration of his works. Dat took a coach from Giap Bat Bus Station in Hanoi to Sin Ho District in northern Lai Chau Province during a rainy night that year.
