According to Nguyen Ton Xuan Sang, head of the community group for protecting aquatic life in Nhon Hai Commune, these adorable hatchlings emerged from a nest containing 102 eggs. Mr. Sang noted that the mother turtle returned to the sea after laying her eggs. Previously, 57 baby turtles also hatched from the first nest, which contained 103 eggs. Unfortunately, some of the turtle eggs in the nest did not survive, as seen in this picture. Mr. Sang identified these turtles as green sea turtles, also known as Chelonia mydas.
