Vietnam Expo 2023 welcomes over 20,000 visitors

Gold laminating Ao Dai collections impress international friends at Ao Dai Festival

Through the support of nearly 300 artisans, each gold-embroidered design of the “Source Spring” collection by designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam requires nearly 15,000 hours of work.  The collections being put on show comes after designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam recently launched the “Source Spring” collection in San Diego in California of the United States with the participation of two international supermodels Wynter Alana and Nya Deng. During this year’s festival, Nam has also taken on the role of being an ambassador to elevate the beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai whilst promoting Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism to the world. Hanoi sees crowds gather on second day of Lunar New Year

The crowd begins to build up during the afternoon, with traffic congestion streching from the Old Quarter to the streets of Hang Bai, Trang Tien, Ding Tien Hoang, and Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square. Thousands of local residents head out onto the streets to enjoy the atmosphere on the opening days of the Lunar New Year. Several families snap photos on the banks of Hoan Kiem lake. An old portrait painter draws a sketch of a woman besides the famous lake. A huge number of people pay a visit to Ngoc Son Temple near Hoan Kiem lake as they pray for a propitious year ahead. The area around the statue of Emperor Ly Thai To is also packed full of visitors. People flock to Trang Tien street as they enjoy eating delicious ice cream during the festive occasion.
