The Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia, concurrently in Bahrain, played host to a special screening of the film “The Tailor” on May 15. The event was part of the 2024 FrancoFilm Festival, a celebration of French-speaking cinema organized by the French Embassy in collaboration with the Alliance Française in Bahrain. Dang Quang Tu, Chairman of the Da Lat City People’s Committee, pledged to host a series of international music events over the next three years. This commitment was made at the 2024 Annual Conference of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, held in Braga, Portugal, from July 1 to 3. According to Tu, the city, in collaboration with Ernesto Ottone R., UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture, has outlined a number of international initiatives centered around music. These include a Southeast Asia gong festival, aimed at preserving and celebrating the gong culture, as well as showcasing the cultural heritage of Vietnam’s Central Highlands region. Agoda’s CEO, Omri Morgenshtern, has stated that Vietnam is now within the top five destinations for Indian travelers, a position it never achieved in 2019.
