Before the game started, both teams spent a moment of silence in memory of Brazilian football legend Pele, who passed away last week. Vietnam looked poised for the last four with an early goal just eight minutes into the game. Nguyen Van Quyet conjured up a brilliant assist for Pham Tuan Hai to tap in, but before Hai could touch the ball, Zin Lwin scored an own goal. Vietnamese film receives 5-minute standing ovation at Cannes

‘Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell,’ which vies for the Camera d’Or Award against 17 other competitors in the Directors’ Fortnight section, was premiered at 4:45 pm in France. Directed by Pham Thien An, the movie tells the story of a journey taken by a young man named Thien, who is tasked with delivering his sister-in-law’s body to their countryside hometown following a tragic motorcycle accident. Amid the mystical landscapes of rural Vietnam, Thien begins a search for his older brother, who vanished years ago.  As the debut screening of the movie ended after three hours on Wednesday, audiences rose and stood applauding for five minutes. Vietnamese freestyle football champion makes LaLiga halftime debut

Phuc, who has accrued a sizeable following among fans on social media, including TikTok, has become the first ever Vietnamese freestyle footballer to showcase his skills at an official LaLiga match.  The performance was orchestrated by LaLiga and Deportivo Alaves, who invited a total of 16 TikTok content creators from Asia-Pacific countries to attend Sunday’s game at Alaves’s Mendizorrotza Stadium.
