Colonel Nguyen Duc Hieu, representing the Coast Guard Region 3 Command, suggested strengthening information exchange between the two countries’ coast guard agencies. He emphasized the importance of Thailand’s support in verifying and investigating information related to drug trafficking by sea. To further enhance collaboration, Hieu proposed establishing a hotline dedicated to combating drug-related crimes.

Moving forward, both parties aim to improve their joint efforts in patrolling and controlling the adjacent sea area. By increasing the efficiency of detecting, preventing, and addressing violations and crimes, they strive to create a safer maritime environment. Additionally, they recognize the value of further cooperation in training and the sharing of modern equipment to enhance drug control capabilities.
