On display are 112 sketches, featuring typical images of Vietnam, from the buffaloes and bamboo trees to the gate of the Hung Kings Temple and Hanoi’s Flag Tower.

The exhibition also displays the originals of more than 100 pencil and colour drawings of the national emblem.

Some 15 sketches were submitted to the Government in October 1954 for consideration, and President Ho Chi Minh signed a decree on January 14, 1956 to publicise the official emblem of Vietnam.

Painter Bui Trang Chuoc, born in 1915 in Hanoi, graduated from the Indochina Fine Arts College, now known as the Vietnam Fine Arts University, in 1941. He was the first Vietnamese painter to design postage stamps in Indochina.

Vietnamese film receives 5-minute standing ovation at Cannes

‘Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell,’ which vies for the Camera d’Or Award against 17 other competitors in the Directors’ Fortnight section, was premiered at 4:45 pm in France. Vietnamese freestyle football champion makes LaLiga halftime debut

Phuc, who has accrued a sizeable following among fans on social media, including TikTok, has become the first ever Vietnamese freestyle footballer to showcase his skills at an official LaLiga match.  The performance was orchestrated by LaLiga and Deportivo Alaves, who invited a total of 16 TikTok content creators from Asia-Pacific countries to attend Sunday’s game at Alaves’s Mendizorrotza Stadium.
