V-League vs J-League: The Ultimate Free-to-View Football Face-Off in Vietnam

Huu Tin Company has secured the broadcast rights for the J1 League in Vietnam until 2027, bringing high-quality Japanese football action to Vietnamese audiences.

Live matches will be aired on the HTV The Thao channel in the afternoon, providing a convenient and exciting viewing experience for football enthusiasts in Vietnam.

With ideal broadcast timings and a promise of thrilling encounters, the J1 League is poised to become a favorite among Vietnamese fans. It also offers a window into Japanese culture, providing a unique perspective for those passionate about football and Asian culture alike.

“Our goal in bringing the J1 League to Vietnam is twofold,” said Nguyen Hoang Duy, representative of Huu Tin Company. “Firstly, we want to offer a premier football tournament to our audiences, and secondly, we believe it will be a valuable learning opportunity for Vietnamese football to draw inspiration from the strengths of Japanese football.”

Nguyen Dinh Khoi, head of HTV’s sports department, added, “The J1 League is a perfect fit for our vision. It presents a unique sports offering that has never been seen before in the Vietnamese media market, and we are confident that it will contribute to the growth and development of Vietnamese football, bringing it closer to the standards set by Asian football.”

The 2025 J1 League season is set to be a thrilling affair with 20 clubs competing over 38 rounds, starting from February 23 and concluding on December 8.

This marks the third time that Vietnamese fans will get to witness the J1 League, with previous broadcasts taking place in 2012 and 2013.

The league has been a launchpad for many international football stars, including the likes of Hidetoshi Nakata, Shunsuke Nakamura, Shinji Ono, and Park Ji Sung. Additionally, several Vietnamese players such as Le Cong Vinh, Nguyen Cong Phuong, Nguyen Tuan Anh, and Dang Van Lam have also honed their skills in Japan, showcasing the league’s ability to nurture talent.
